Stabbing in Chicago’s Pritzker Park triggers massive police presence; number of victims and condition unknown

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police said a stabbing occurred in Pritzker Park in the Loop on Friday evening.

Police confirmed that a stabbing had occurred but did not provide details about the circumstances of the incident.

It was initially unclear how many people were stabbed, what age or gender they were and what condition they were in.

It was also not immediately known whether anyone is currently in custody.

There was a noticeable police presence around the small park at the corner of South State and East Van Buren, but police did not provide any further details about why so many officers arrived at the scene.

The investigation into the stabbing is still ongoing.
