Nearly a year later, JSO makes an arrest in Arlington murder investigation – 104.5 WOKV

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced it has made an arrest in a murder investigation from last year.

On June 12, 2023, officers were dispatched to the area of ​​1300 Eddy Road when calls came in that a man was lying in the street.

When police arrived, they found Dylonn Bealle-Veneziale, then 23, suffering from a gunshot wound. The Jacksonville Fire Department responded but pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Action News Jax told you how friends and family gathered for his vigil a few days after Bealle-Veneziale was shot. MADDADS also joined the family to help find evidence and seek justice.

On Friday, the JSO announced that after completing the investigation, 31-year-old Cierra Marie Martin had been identified as a suspect.

“Cierra, who is serving a prison sentence for aggravated assault at the Lowell Correction Institute (Marion County, Florida), was transported to the Police Memorial Building where she was interviewed by homicide detectives,” JSO said in a statement. “Subsequently, Cierra was arrested for murder and booked into the PTDF for the murder of the victim.”

Dylonn was described as a cheerful and caring person who did not deserve to die.

“I love you, my boy,” said Alex, a friend of Bealle-Venziale. “He was a son, a good friend, we created many memories with him.”

Cierra’s first court date has yet to be announced.
