Fire on Emmett Street is under investigation

SCHENECTADY, ​​NY (NEWS10) – The fire outbreak at an apartment building on Emmett Street in Schenectady remains under investigation. Schenectady Fire Department Assistant Chief Donald Mareno confirms the fire was reported at 11:21 a.m. and extinguished at 11:50 a.m. Friday morning.

The American Red Cross provided emergency aid to 12 people, including seven children aged between one and 15. No injuries were confirmed in the fire, but Red Cross staff and volunteers have said they will assist families in the rescue. Officials also say the house is still salvageable.
