“No Menthol Buffalo” launches its campaign

The group visits schools in our area to educate students about the health risks of smoking flavored menthol.

BUFFALO, NY — “End the sale of flavored menthol.” »

That was the message the No Menthol Buffalo Coalition was sending Tuesday morning to launch its campaign to remove menthol from shelves.

The group visits schools in our area to educate students about the health risks of smoking flavored menthol.

We’re told the additive disproportionately affects the black community, and that they are more likely to die from smoking products that contain it.

Dr Maansi Bandal-Travers, Associate Professor Roswell Park, said: “Nicotine harms brain development. We want to try to inform children as early as possible how dangerous these products are and why menthol cigarettes in particular are dangerous to use. even if they feel easier to smoke.”

Currently, No Menthol Buffalo is talking with legislators and lobbying for a bill to remove menthol from shelves.
