Rape: Man arrested for raping his minor daughters | Bhopal News

Bhopal: A man was arrested for raping his two minor daughters for four years. The incident was reported from Ashok Nagar district. On Thursday, the girls, accompanied by their mother, went to Bahadurpur police station and reported the sexual abuse. The elder daughter, who was just 13 years old, was raped for the first time by her father in August 2020. The incident took place when they were alone at home. Fearing the man’s threats, both the survivor and her mother were forced to remain silent. However, the abuse did not stop. On May 21, the accused raped his younger daughter, who is 14 years old. The woman and her daughters decided to finally break this vicious cycle of abuse. A case was registered under various sections, including POSCO. The man initially tried to escape and then when arrested, he behaved erratically and feigned mental illness. However, this did not deter the police and they produced him in court and locked him in jail. The Ashoknagar district administration has assured the survivors and their mother of full support, including referral to appropriate counselling services.
