Frederick Police Investigate Friday Morning Incident

It was initially thought to be a shooting, but no evidence was found.

Frederick, Maryland (KM) One person was taken to the hospital following an incident in Frederick early Friday morning.

Police said shortly after 1:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of North Market Street for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a person with head injuries. After an initial investigation, authorities said the victim’s injuries did not appear consistent with those caused by a firearm.

The Frederick Police Department of Criminal Investigation is investigating this incident to determine the cause of the victim’s injuries. Investigators say preliminary findings indicate the injuries were not caused by a firearm.
