Cal Fire firefighter arrested in Sacramento area during investigation into public nuisance

RANCHO CORDOVA – A firefighter was arrested for exposing himself at a Sacramento County car wash earlier this year, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said.

Rancho Cordova Police officers received reports that a man was showing his erect penis to a woman on Sunrise Boulevard and attempting to talk to her, officers said. The woman was able to drive away and call police.

During the investigation, 32-year-old Clifford Robinson was identified as a suspect. The investigation revealed that Robinson had been arrested several years earlier for a similar offense and was registered as a sex offender.

Then detectives learned that Robsinon was a firefighter with Cal Fire.

After an arrest warrant was obtained against Robinson, he was arrested at his home and imprisoned for indecently exposing his genitals in a public place.

Officials said he posted $10,000 bail and was released hours later.

Investigators are now asking the public for help in identifying other potential victims.
