Police presence at Chevron in Atlanta after shooting in area

ATLANTA — There is a heavy law enforcement presence at a Chevron gas station near Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway in northwest Atlanta Friday evening.

Atlanta police said officers responded to a shooting call at 2650 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, near the Chevron, a U-Haul rental property and a liquor store. When they arrived, they saw a man who had been shot. Police said he was “alert, conscious and breathing.”

One person was arrested at the scene, police said. Details are limited on what exactly happened.

11Alive’s Cody Alcorn is on scene and said there were several Atlanta Police cars, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office vehicles and Grady first responders at the scene. There also appears to be several areas with crime scene tapes.
