Investigation into shots fired leads to multiple charges against Dover man

DOVER, Del. – A Dover man was arrested following a shooting Monday morning.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Harmony Lane around 10:30 a.m. for a report of shots fired. The subsequent investigation determined that 19-year-old Javon Johnson was responsible for the shooting and a vehicle containing a 20-year-old Smyrna was damaged by gunfire. The woman was not injured.

Johnson was arrested at an apartment in the area and a search of the apartment revealed a loaded Glock 9mm handgun.

Johnson was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, two counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
