Man killed in shooting in Redstone Township

One person was killed in a shooting Friday morning on Second Street in Redstone Township

Fayette County District Attorney Michael Aubele described the victim as a man in his 70s but could not identify him. He was flown from the scene to Ruby Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

According to Aubele, another man, also in his 70s, is currently in custody for the shooting. No charges had been filed as of Friday’s deadline.

According to the Fayette County Emergency Management Agency, state police responded to the shooting around 11 a.m.
