Five OCPD officers are being investigated for alleged workplace misconduct

OCEAN CITY, Maryland – Five Ocean City Police (OCPD) officers are under investigation for alleged workplace misconduct.

The complaint was filed in April and the OCPD’s Office of Professional Standards is conducting an administrative investigation. The findings will be forwarded to the Worcester County Administrative Charging Committee. The complaint will also be forwarded to the Police Accountability Board.

According to OCPD, three of the five people have been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. Another person has been transferred from the patrol division to the support services division.

In a press release, the OCPD stated, “Chief Buzzuro and the Ocean City Police Department take this matter seriously and are committed to fully and thoroughly investigating citizen complaints.”
