Diddy accused of rape in lawsuit – woman says she met him in the 90s

Diddy is currently facing another lawsuit. A woman named April Lampros claims he sexually harassed her on multiple occasions in the mid-’90s and tried again in the early 2000s. According to TMZ, she is accusing him of sexual assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Bad Boy Records, Sony Music Entertainment and Arista – where she interned – are also listed as defendants for allegedly enabling Diddy to do this.

Lampros’ lawsuit – filed Thursday – claims she met Sean Combs as a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and he offered her a mentorship. She accuses the mogul of raping her at the Millennium Hotel in 1995 and forcing her to perform oral sex on him in another instance. In 1996, he allegedly “ordered” her to come to his apartment. “She claims he shot ecstasy down her throat and then demanded that she have sex with Kim (Porter) while he masturbated,” TMZ writes. “Finally, she claims he raped her again.”

Lampros was able to break off ties with Diddy in 1998, but during an argument in late 2000/early 2001, Combs allegedly came to her apartment and tried to sexually assault her, but “she was able to fight him off.” The lawsuit also alleges that Diddy filmed himself having sex with April and showed the tape to people.

TMZ notes that Lampros’ attorney Tyrone Blackburn represents Liza Gardner and Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, both of whom sued Diddy in late 2023. He is also the attorney for Grace O’Marcaigh, who is suing Diddy and his 26-year-old son Christian “King” Combs for sexual assault.

According to the Daily Beast, Blackburn shared a statement from April Lampros that said, “I am confident that justice will prevail and the veil will be lifted so that no other woman has to endure what I went through.”

The latest lawsuit against Diddy comes days after former model Crystal McKinney accused the Bad Boy founder of sexual assault in another lawsuit.

Lil Rod’s aforementioned lawsuit has received a lot of media coverage in recent months, and last week it was reported that both Lucian Grainge and UMG were dropped from the lawsuit, allegations of which Diddy had previously denied in a statement released by a legal representative.

Attorney Shawn Holley called Rod “nothing more than a liar” who was “looking for an undeserved payday” and further claimed that there was “irrefutable evidence” showing that the multitude of allegations were false.

While that separate civil case is still pending, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office recently confirmed that no charges will be filed in connection with Diddy’s attack on Cassie, which was captured on recently released surveillance video.

“We find the images extremely disturbing and difficult to stomach,” the office said last week, shortly after CNN first released the 2016 footage showing Diddy kicking and dragging Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel. “Unfortunately, if the conduct depicted had occurred in 2016, we would not be able to bring charges because the conduct would have occurred after the point in time at which a crime of assault can be prosecuted.”

Cassie recently released a statement appreciating “the expressions of love” she has received since the video was released. As previously reported, Cassie accused Diddy of rape and abuse in a lawsuit that was quickly settled in 2023.

“It takes a lot of heart to speak the truth in a situation where you were powerless,” Cassie said Thursday. “I extend my hand to those who are still living in fear. Extend your hand to your people, don’t cut them off. No one should bear this burden alone.”

Diddy, in turn, released an apology video immediately after the footage was released.

“I’m not asking for forgiveness,” he said in the clip shared on Instagram. “I’m truly sorry.”
