More storms this evening, tonight

Like Thursday, storms are expected to move toward the northern Georgia mountains around 5 p.m. this evening. These storms will eventually reach the Atlanta metro area this evening around sunset, with the greatest chance of rain north of I-20 this evening.

Another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected Saturday morning into the early afternoon. Watch out for storms around lunchtime Saturday in metro Atlanta. If you have outdoor plans on Saturday, you will be in good shape after 2 p.m.
