Porsche car crash update: ‘Fake video, protect my son’: Mother of teenager in Porsche car crash in Pune pleads with police | Pune News

PUNE: The mother of the 17-year-old boy who allegedly fatally hit two people with his luxury car has asked the police to “protect” her son after a video went viral in which he is allegedly bragging about how he got away with the accident.

“The video circulating does not show my son. The video is fake. My son is in the detention camp,” the teenager’s mother said in her message.

The mother appeals to the police to “protect” her son, breaks into tears and shows her video message. She can no longer control herself and walks away from the camera.

A rap song in which the teenager allegedly boasts about escaping a car accident went popular on social media. However, Pune Police confirmed that the video was from a fake account and the teenager was not involved in it.

It later turned out that the rap video belonged to a social media influencer.

A Porsche, which police believe was driven by a suspected drunk minor, fatally struck two software engineers riding motorcycles in the city early Sunday.

The teenager was produced before the Juvenile Court, which granted him bail and ordered him to write a 300-word essay.

There was an outcry over the quick release on bail and the police’s request to look into the matter. The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) has remanded the teenager, the son of real estate developer Vishal Agarwal, to an observation home till June 5.

Police have arrested the teenager’s father in connection with the case.
