Pune teenager's fake rap video goes viral, mother breaks down on camera

A teenager from Pune is said to have killed two people while drunk and driving a Porsche supercar early on Sunday morning

Pune:

The mother of the 17-year-old who allegedly fatally struck two people with his luxury Porsche has asked police to “protect” her son after a video was shared online in which he allegedly brags about how he got away with the accident.

In a video message, the teenager’s mother stressed that the clip had nothing to do with her son and was a fake.

“The video circulating does not show my son. This is a fake video. My son is in the detention camp,” the teenager’s mother says in her message.

A rap song in which the teenager allegedly boasts about how he escaped the car accident went viral on social media, but Pune police clarified that it was a fake account and the teenager had no role in the video.

It later turned out that the rap video came from a social media influencer.
