Lanes are closed following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 60 near Valley Way in Jurupa Valley

JURUPA VALLEY, CA (May 24, 2024) – Four people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Freeway 60 Thursday morning.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the incident occurred just after 8 a.m. on May 23. For reasons still under investigation, four vehicles were involved in a chain reaction collision near Valley Way.

Rescue workers took four people with moderate injuries to a regional trauma center for treatment. No current information on the condition of the victims has been released.

The pileup reportedly blocked two lanes of traffic. California Highway Patrol officers later arrived to clear the roads. The lanes were reportedly reopened at 11:00 a.m.

The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officials will release additional information as it becomes available.
