Police identify wanted suspect in connection with sexual assault of Vanderbilt Hospital employee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Metro Nashville Police Department has identified the man wanted in connection with the sexual assault of a Vanderbilt University Medical Center employee on May 11. The investigation revealed that the man is a registered sex offender.

According to MNPD, 39-year-old Daniel Revette is wanted for aggravated kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault and attempted rape.

Revette is accused of grabbing the employee from behind and groping her near the hospital’s east parking garage. According to police, Revette threatened to kill her if she made a noise. The woman managed to escape and called the police.

Police released surveillance photos of Revette in hopes the public could identify him.

Revette was convicted of attempted rape in 2007, received a six-year prison sentence, and is under lifelong community supervision by the Tennessee Department of Correction, according to police. He was convicted of aggravated assault in 2021 and received a six-year prison sentence. He has also been convicted multiple times for violating Tennessee’s sex offender registration law.

The state issued arrest warrants against Revette on May 18 for violating the sex offender registry and probation.

He has been at large since Thursday evening.
