Local man identified as skier killed in Utah avalanche – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

SANDY, Utah – A Centerville resident has been identified as one of two people killed in an avalanche.

Andrew Cameron lived in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, but graduated from Centerville High School in 2020.

Cameron was an Eagle Scout and loved everything that had to do with the outdoors, from backpacking to skiing, his obituary said.

He died on May 9 as a result of an avalanche on Lone Peak in the Wasatch Mountains.

He was 22 years old.
