Pedestrian found dead on US 931 in Kokomo – Indianapolis News | Indiana Weather | Indiana Traffic

KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) – A pedestrian from Minnesota was found dead on a U.S. highway in Kokomo Wednesday night, police said.

Dawn Marie Teague, 38, of Little Falls, Minnesota, was found dead near the intersection of US 931/South Reed Road and Lincoln Road on the south side of the city. This is close to several manufacturing plants, hotels and companies.

Kokomo police said in a news release that Joshua Conrad, 42, of Kokomo, was driving south on U.S. 931 in a 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday when Teague was southbound on the west side of the highway was hit by Lincoln Street. Before the crash, Teague was seen using her cell phone on the east side of US 931.

Police said on Thursday afternoon that their investigations were not yet complete.

Conrad’s blood was drawn “to ensure that no intoxicants were a factor in this investigation,” the press release said.
