45-year-old man dies, 2 others injured in fatal overnight crash in West Pullman

Chicago police were called to a traffic accident in the West Pullman neighborhood on Wednesday evening in which a 45-year-old man died and two other victims were injured.

Just before midnight, officers were called to a two-vehicle crash in the 11900 block of South Ashland Avenue involving a silver SUV and a black sedan.

A 40-year-old passenger in the SUV was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and was listed in good condition. A 45-year-old man who was a passenger in the black sedan was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. A 27-year-old woman, also a passenger in the sedan, was also taken to the same hospital and was listed in critical condition.

There are no charges related to the accident, but detectives are investigating.
