1 dead, 2 injured in car crash in West Pullman overnight

CHICAGO – One person is dead and two others were injured in a car crash in the West Pullman neighborhood late Wednesday night.

According to police, the incident occurred shortly before midnight at the corner of 119th Street and Ashland Avenue, where a silver SUV crashed into a black Mercedes-Benz SUV.

A 45-year-old man was in the black Mercedes-Benz SUV and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

There was also a 27-year-old woman in the vehicle. She was taken to Christ Hospital with unknown injuries and is in critical condition.

The 40-year-old man in the silver SUV was taken to Christ Hospital with unknown injuries and is in good condition.

Police have not yet filed any charges regarding the collision. WGN is actively following the incident.
