A restaurant and a brasserie will open opposite the airport

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — A new restaurant and brewery is opening across the street from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

Iron Cedar Brewing and Meadery has leased space from Ellicott Development at the Comfort Inn & Suites Buffalo Airport, 4345 Genesee St. in Cheektowaga. The Landing Bar & Grill closed its doors there at the start of the pandemic.

Owner Nick DeMarco plans a June opening and will offer a full menu including soups and salads, wings, dips, burgers and sandwiches.

On the drinks side, DeMarco plans traditional cocktails and beer, as well as his specialty meads, including nearly a dozen honey wine and honey beer blends. Mead was the driving force behind the company, he said.
