MARSHALL COUNTY — Nearly two years later and with the appointment of a new superintendent, questions remain about the Marshall County Board of Education’s decision to spend nearly $8,000 from the district’s general fund on an outside attorney to conduct an investigation in 2022 should.

As the board admitted, this report did not provide any insights. Documents obtained through the Kentucky Open Records Act as part of this investigation offer limited answers, as do past and current interviews with board members by reporters.
