Narcan participated in investigation into death of three-year-old – NBC Los Angeles

A murder investigation is underway following the death of a 3-year-old boy in Palmdale on Wednesday.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call from a child experiencing difficulty breathing just before 9 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found the boy in a car with his father.

Paramedics performed CPR and administered Narcan to the child. He was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Officials were initially told that the child had collapsed near a park bench, and they cordoned off part of the park for several hours.

It is unclear what caused this child’s medical emergency.
