Police investigate deadly late-night shooting outside Del Denby Tavern

Buffalo police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred overnight in North Buffalo.

Detectives say a 46-year-old Buffalo man was shot during a fight on the front patio of Del Denby’s Tavern just after 1 a.m. in the 1500 block of Hertel Avenue, near from Parkside. The victim was taken to ECMC, where he later died.

Police said at that time they believed the victim and the suspected shooter knew each other and that what happened inside the bar before the shooting was under investigation.
