City of Roma employee rescued after accident at work

ROMA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — According to the Starr County Sheriff’s Office, a City of Roma employee is in the hospital after being rescued following a workplace accident.

Starr County deputies responded to Fronton on FM 650, about five miles from the Roma city limits.

Emergency crews were assisted by first responders in extricating a Roma Public Utilities from an area that had collapsed while employees were performing routine maintenance in the area.

Starr County said the man was safely recovered.
