Woman is said to have bitten and spit on police officers during the arrest

(COLORADO SPRINGS) – According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers responded to a call about a burglary near Lelaray and LaSalle on Wednesday, May 22, but apprehending the suspect was more difficult than usual.

When CSPD officers arrived at the scene, they attempted to take Leann Gamm into custody for first-degree burglary, but she reportedly bit and spit on one of the arresting officers.

After she was brought to safety, she was examined at the hospital for previous injuries and taken to the county jail.
