45-year-old Harrison woman apparently drowned, coroner says

HARRISON, Ohio (WXIX) – A 45-year-old Harrison woman apparently drowned at her residence, the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office said.

Melissa Turner, 45, died early Wednesday at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, according to a coroner’s report.

Hamilton County dispatchers confirm Harrison police officers and firefighters traveled Monday evening to a home in the 500 block of Clayton Court, listed in the coroner’s report as Turner’s residence.

According to emergency officials, first responders went there after receiving a report at 8:06 p.m. that a woman had been found in a pool and was not breathing.

She was taken to Mercy West Hospital in Green Township, dispatchers say.

Harrison police referred questions Wednesday morning to a lieutenant who had not yet arrived at work.
