Beloit man accused of sexually abusing 14-year-old

A Beloit man is making his first appearance in Rock County Court in connection with two separate violent cases.

Isaiah Scott Washington, 24, is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl twice at a Janesville residence last month. He is charged in Rock County Court with two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child.

He is also charged with strangulation, assault, criminal damage, disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer in a separate case in which he is accused of violently attacking his girlfriend because she refused to have sex with him.

On Monday, Court Commissioner Jack Hoag set cash bail at a total of $13,500.

Washington is due to return to Rock County Court on Friday for an adjourned initial appearance.
