Suspected ‘Night Stalker’ rapist caught after chase in Bangkok. Elite police unit arrests Mr. Nat for stalking and assault. The victim’s ordeal is over for now, although the defendant makes different statements.

An elite unit of the Metropolitan Police Bureau on Saturday arrested a man who stalked a female colleague for months before finally raping her. The 45-year-old man, identified as Mr Nat, was caught by police after a chase on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road on Saturday evening, reporters were told. He was dubbed a “night stalker” by police because terror was inflicted on his victim before the rape.

An elite unit of the Metropolitan Police Bureau has arrested another sex offender in central Bangkok. The latest case is related to the activities of Mr Nat, a 45-year-old sexual stalker.

The IT technician worked for a local company and once acted as a chauffeur for an attractive young woman in the company. In short, he fell in love with the 22-year-old.

In short, on April 19, the criminal court issued an arrest warrant for rape and violence. It was related to an attack on the young woman at her workplace, which took place after a company event.

Details of the arrest were announced by Metropolitan Police Bureau chief Thiti Saengsawang and are linked to an elite task force led by Metropolitan Police Bureau top commander Pol Major General Theeradej Thumsuthee.

The incident surrounding the ‘night stalker’, who was arrested during a dramatic chase on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road on Saturday, April 4, was outlined to reporters.

The alleged rape occurred at the end of 2023. This was followed by months of terrible torture for the young woman, who was stalked by her colleague at work and at night. It ended last Saturday evening when it was learned that the specter that had haunted her life was in custody.

Of course, the case against the defendant must be brought to court and decided. Certainly Mr. Nat already has a different version of events in this regard.

After all, the 45-year-old man’s crush on the young woman began when he was her chauffeur.

However, it became so intense that Mr Nattaphon, the 45-year-old defendant, gave up.

Nevertheless, he took every opportunity to talk to her at work afterwards.

For example, he asked her questions about her life and showed excessive interest in her personal life. At the same time, he took part in discussions about intimate topics.

The defendant himself requested a transfer to another department. This was the second time he was aware that what he was doing was wrong

Mr Nattaphon then requested a transfer to another department and began to show signs of being aware of the problem. This was the defendant’s second request not to be near the young woman.

But his infatuation won over him. He looked for her personal belongings, including clothing, and attempted to sniff them.

The situation spiraled out of control when the 45-year-old began following the young woman home from work.

In short, he would follow her to her bus stop. He then boarded the bus at the same time as her and followed her back to her accommodation in the capital. This disturbing pattern of behavior continued for months.

The defendant even followed her to grocery stores where he knew her favorite snacks.

The climactic incident ended in rape, although the accused denies this but admits that he sexually harassed the 22-year-old woman after a social dance evening

The climax of this ordeal occurred after a company dinner party. The young woman had obligations at work. Therefore, she was forced to return to the office early.

Mr. Nattaphon followed her. When he was alone in the company office, he turned on her and dragged her to the gym.

This is where the sexual assault occurred. The victim fainted. When she regained consciousness, she kicked her attacker and broke free.

The rape was immediately reported to the Prachachuen police station and the woman’s employer was informed.

Police subsequently discovered that the accused had gone to great lengths to destroy CCTV images and other evidence from the scene of the sexual assault.

The defendant left the company but waited to be arrested. However, he tried to evade arrest on Saturday evening when police involved him in a chase

The defendant then left the company and apparently worked as a freelancer.

Until the arrest warrant was issued as part of the legal process. This was arrest warrant number 1625/2567 dated April 19, 2024. In the meantime, he was quickly arrested based on the order and held responsible last Saturday evening.

The officers ultimately had to defend themselves against the defendant’s attempts to lose them in a chase. Additionally, he had a fight with the police when he was arrested.

The defendant was taken to Prachachuen Police Station after being arrested by a task force.

There he admitted his wrongdoing. In fact, he told police that he was an admirer of the police unit’s work, according to media reports.

He explained to them that he had a premonition that he would be arrested by Inspector Jae. Strangely, he seemed to know the Metropolitan Police Bureau’s police unit and even its senior officers.

Mr Nat’s version is that there was no rape

However, Mr Nattaphon’s version did not correspond to the victim’s account.

In short, he claimed the 22-year-old was in love in the office complex. She had drunk too much alcohol and it helped her vomit.

He admitted to the officers that it was ignited when the young woman took off her blouse.

Still, he was unable to perform sexual penetration because she was drunk and unconscious.

The officers told him that they were extremely suspicious of Mr. Nat’s testimony. Due to his erratic employment behavior, they also assume that there could be other victims.

This was despite his assurances that after the trial he would become a reformed man with the help of his elders.

Meanwhile, police in Bangkok are appealing to any women who suffer such predatory behavior to take action. For example, you can file a police report with the local police station in connection with stalking.
