Suspect found dead in deadly shooting near Northland Mall

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Kansas City police say the man police were looking for in a fatal road rage shooting last week has been found dead by suicide.

Christian Crail, 26, of St. Joseph, Missouri, was charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.

According to court documents, he pulled up next to a vehicle near Barry Road and Boardwalk Avenue in Northland and fired shots at it.

A passenger was killed.

Crail was also the suspect in another shooting in April, in which police said someone fired from the passenger window of a car on I-35 in Olathe.

Police tracked Crail to Centerville, Iowa, on Tuesday, where he allegedly took his own life.
