Man from Queens allegedly filmed himself driving recklessly

A Queens man is accused of filming himself committing various traffic violations.

Newark police say they attempted to stop Antonio Ginestri on April 11 for driving recklessly near Market and Broad streets.

Police say that after investigating the incident, they found several social media videos that appeared to show Ginestri committing the same violations throughout the tri-state area.

“We believe this arrest sends a strong message that Newark is not a playground for reckless drivers looking for social media likes,” Chief Emanuel Miranda wrote in a statement. “We will not tolerate mindless and reckless driving on the streets of Newark.”

Ginestri was charged with evading police.
