Donald Trump threatens legal action against Sebastian Stan’s film portraying him as a rapist

Donald Trump has threatened legal action against a new film in which the former president rapes his first wife.

The Apprentice Sebastian Stan plays Trump in the lead role and explores his life as a businessman in New York in the 1970s and 1980s. It premiered yesterday (May 20) at the Cannes Film Festival, where it received an eight-minute standing ovation.

The film shows a scene in which Trump pushes his first wife Ivana to the ground and rapes her.

A representative from Trump’s campaign said they would “file a lawsuit to challenge the patently false claims made by these pseudo-filmmakers.”

Steven Cheung narrated diversity: “This garbage is pure fiction, building up lies that have long since been refuted. Like the illegal Biden trials, this is election interference by Hollywood elites who know that President Trump will take back the White House and beat their preferred candidate because nothing they did worked.”

“This ‘film’ is pure malicious slander, should not see the light of day and does not even deserve a spot in the straight-to-DVD section of a bargain bin at a soon-to-be-closing discount movie store. “It belongs in a dumpster fire,” he added .

The film directed by Ali Abbasi (Border, Holy spider) begins with the note that the events depicted are fictionalized. “You have a face like a damn orange,” Ivana tells him in the film. “You get fat, you get ugly and you go bald.” The Trump character then abuses his wife and rapes her.

In 1990, Ivana Trump described a similar attack during testimony in her divorce trial. At the time she described the incident as rape, but withdrew the accusation in 1993. “As a woman, I felt violated… I called it rape, but I don’t want my words to be interpreted in a literal or criminal sense,” she said.

Trump is currently before the New York State Supreme Court where he is facing 34 counts of falsifying business records with the intent to commit or cover up other crimes.

This involves payments he allegedly made to porn actress Stormy Daniels to ensure she kept quiet about an alleged affair between the two. Trump is accused of exceeding campaign finance limits to improperly influence the 2016 presidential election. He is the first former US president ever to be indicted in such a trial.

Trump is also touting victory in the 2024 presidential election and was recently said to have sought out rappers to attract more black voters. The Boston Herald reported that Trump plans to host a fundraiser at Madison Square Garden in New York City and is calling on rappers and athletes to attend to encourage more black and Latino voters to vote for him and the Republican Party in November.

The former president also recently took to social media to attack Jimmy Kimmel after the host mocked him on his late-night show but managed to confuse him with acting legend Al Pacino in an error-filled tirade.
