Ogdensburg police investigate incident in 800 block of Congress Street | WWTI

OGDENSBURG, NY (WWTI) – Local authorities in the City of Ogdensburg are investigating an incident that occurred this morning in the 800 block of Congress Street.

The city’s website states: “Ogdensburg Police responded to a shooting at a residence in the 800 block of Congress Street. There were no injuries. The investigation is active and ongoing.”

Officials are asking the public to avoid the 1100 block of Congress Street as police are actively working to clear the scene at that location.

The city reminded the public that there is no danger at this time. Police are in contact with Ogdensburg Free Academy and there is no threat to the school.

The Ogdensburg Police Department is supported by the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, the New York State Police and the Department of Homeland Security.
