Phoenix police arrest woman as suspect in stabbing man

Police found a man stabbed to death in the driveway of a home near 5200 West Windsor Avenue in Phoenix, and a woman was arrested.

Esperanza Bautista Valencia, 52, was charged in connection with the May 19 death of the unidentified man, who was in his 50s, police said.

According to police, the suspect called 911 and reported that she had stabbed her boyfriend.

According to a release, officers found the man in the driveway with multiple stab wounds and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. She was charged with murder.

Identification of the victim is pending notification of next of kin.
