Woman, 50, attacked by two XL bullies, dies on the spot: “This poor woman.” It’s shocking’ | Trending

A 50-year-old woman from London died after being attacked by her registered XL dog bull. Paramedics treated the woman at her home in Cornwall Close, Hornchurch, but she died at the scene on Monday afternoon. Armed officers arrested the two dogs after locking them in a room, reports said.

According to the BBC, this is believed to be the first fatal attack involving XL bully dogs, which are permitted under new laws. After the attack, a blue forensic tent was set up outside the woman’s home on a residential street.

A Met spokesman told The Guardian: “At around 1.12pm police were called to Cornwall Close to reports that a woman had been attacked by a dog. The woman was treated by London Ambulance Service doctors but unfortunately she was pronounced dead at the scene.” Due to the imminent danger, armed officers attended the scene and were able to safely confiscate two dogs. The spokesman further added: “They were registered XL bat dogs and were held in a room in the house before officers arrived. They did not leave the house at any time during the incident. After paramedics and police arrived at the scene, numerous people took to the streets to find out about the 50-year-old’s unfortunate fate. A witness at the scene told the BBC: “I was standing on the road and saw a paramedic doing CPR. This poor woman. It is shocking.”

Michaela Scott, a dog trainer from the same area, said those unfamiliar with the breed may find incidents like this frightening. She said: “It’s really sad for the person, for the neighbors, for the local community.”

Owning the XL Bully breed without an exemption certificate became illegal in England and Wales on February 1st. One of the requirements for every dog ​​owner is that the pet is microchipped, neutered and kept on a leash and muzzled in public.
