Drake’s mansion taped off by police after shooting

The shooting reportedly occurred near Drake’s property. The hip-hop artist, who is currently embroiled in a heated rap feud with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar, has vowed to cooperate fully with law enforcement officials as they investigate the incident.

The “One Dance” crooner is reportedly uninjured following the shooting near his Toronto mansion. According to the New York PostDrake’s security guard was critically injured in the shooting and police have fully secured the musician’s $100 million property.

The security guard reportedly suffered gunshot wounds to the upper chest and was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery. Drake, on the other hand, is cooperative with the authorities.

Toronto police said the suspect drove away from the Bridle Path neighborhood and that there is currently no description of the people involved in what appeared to be a drive-by shooting.

The rapper’s stunning 50,000 square foot mansion, nicknamed “The Embassy,” rose to fame in 2020 after being thrust into the spotlight in 2020 Architectural Digest.

“Because I built it in my hometown, I wanted the structure to last 100 years. I wanted it to be monumental in size and charisma,” Drake told AD of his intention to build a long-lasting home in Toronto.

Drake and Kendrick Lamar are in the middle of a rap feud

The shocking shooting at Drake’s home comes amid his heated feud with rapper Kendrick Lamar.

The two musicians have recorded various songs in which they accuse each other of terrible acts. Kendrick Lamar recently sang about Drake being a “pedophile,” a claim he has since denied in his own song “The Heart Part 6.”
