Two 18-wheelers crashed on I-10 W in Moss Point, all lanes were closed

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) – All westbound lanes on I-10 in Moss Point are currently closed at mile marker 72 due to a crash involving two 18-wheelers.

MDOT said the left eastbound lane was also blocked as a result of the accident.

Jackson County EMA Director Earl Etheridge said one person died in the accident.

Etheridge also says one of the 18-wheelers was carrying hazardous materials that are now scattered across the highway.

Officials say MDEQ is en route and traffic is being detoured at the Franklin Creek Road exit.
