32-year-old Gilroy man killed in car-versus-pedestrian crash, officials say – KION546

GILROY, Calif. (KION-TV) – Gilroy police said a 32-year-old man died after a car hit him early Sunday morning.

Officials said the crash occurred around 12:23 a.m. on No Name Uno near St. Louise Regional Hospital

Investigators said they found the pedestrian lying in the roadway and unresponsive. Police said a nurse who works at the hospital came by to administer first aid.

The man was pronounced dead a short time later. Police said the juvenile driver of the vehicle, who remained at the scene, was contacted by officers as part of the investigation.

Gilroy police said it did not appear the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
