Biography about Donald Trump with a scene in which he rapes his first wife Ivana

The statement said: “At one point in 1989, Mr. Trump and I had a marital relationship in which he behaved toward me very differently than he had during our marriage.”

“As a woman, I felt hurt because the love and tenderness he usually showed me was missing. I have referred to this as ‘rape’ but I do not want my words to be interpreted in a literal or criminal sense.”

Critics at Cannes said the film was not a polemical portrayal of Trump and remained largely balanced.

It follows the rise of Trump long before his career in politics, as he is taken under the wing of Cohn, played by Succession star Jeremy Strong, as he pursues his business ambitions as a real estate mogul.

Cohn was a prosecutor who became one of New York’s top policymakers, representing Trump while passing on his philosophy of attacking politically, never apologizing and always demanding victory.

The Palme d’Or contender was directed by Iranian-Danish filmmaker Ali Abbasi, who appeared on the Cannes red carpet alongside Stan, Bakalova and other stars including Cate Blanchett.
