BOUND BROOK – A Somerset County man faces 10 years in state prison for luring a teenage girl to his home and sexually assaulting her.

According to John McDonald of Somerset County, 22-year-old Lenic Galvan was convicted last week of second-degree sexual assault by physical contact and third-degree child endangerment.

At sentencing on July 10, Galvan faces up to 10 years in state prison. He must serve 85% of his sentence before being eligible for parole.

According to McDonald, the investigation into Galvan’s child enticement began on July 25, 2021, when prosecutors received a tip about the sexual assault.

The victim, a 12-year-old girl, told investigators that she was sexually assaulted at a home on Linden Avenue in Bound Brook.

The investigators then sat down with the girl. She told them that she met a man through social media who then “arranged transportation” to his house.

Galvan was arrested a year later on July 26, 2022. McDonald said DNA evidence helped prove Galvan sexually assaulted the victim.
