Burlington police are investigating an armed robbery downtown

Burlington police are investigating a report of an armed robbery that occurred downtown Sunday morning. Police said they received a report at 12:44 a.m. that two people had been robbed near Main Street and South Union Street. Investigators determined that the two victims were approached by four people, two of whom displayed firearms during the robbery. The case was referred to the Burlington Police Department’s Detective Services Bureau.
