Arrest made in Middletown shooting case

MIDDLETOWN — A 19-year-old Middletown man was arrested in connection with an April 17 shooting, authorities said.

Jeremiah Riley was arrested Friday following an investigation into an unoccupied residence in the 100 block of E. Lake Street that was struck by gunfire, Middletown police said.

Mr. Riley was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, reckless endangerment (six counts), resisting arrest with violence and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance . In lieu of posting bail, he was given a $124,000 cash bond and was transferred to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution.
