Starkville police charge multiple people after shooting

On Friday, May 17, Starkville police charged Marcuevas Guido with aggravated assault. During the investigation into the incident, Cedric Lucious was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of a stolen firearm. On Saturday, Cornelius Hendrix was charged with accessory after the fact.

On Friday, May 17, at 12:23 a.m., on-duty and off-duty officers heard gunshots and responded to S. Montgomery Street, south of Highway 12. The shooting was at the intersection of South Montgomery Street and Yellow Jacket Drive. One vehicle was damaged and no injuries were reported.

The shooting remains under investigation and additional arrests are expected.
