Braymiller Market plans other changes to downtown, including beer

BUFFALO, NY — Braymiller Market is making more changes to its downtown store.

The local business has already seen an increase in traffic since getting city approval in July for a $561,000 forgivable loan. But more innovations are on the way, according to owner Stuart Green.

“The positive response from the community has been incredible,” he said. “But I still need more sales… without a doubt.”

Why is this important: Braymiller Market, which also has a location in Hamburg, is the only one to offer a full service supermarket in downtown Buffalo. And a lot of money was invested to make it a success. Ciminelli Real Estate Corp. owner Paul Ciminelli matched the city loan with a Investment of $500,000 in the store. Green has invested about $9 million in the property he owns, with a $1.5 million forgivable loan from the state’s Rural and Urban Community Investment Fund and a $5.5 million mortgage. dollars from Evans Bank.
