Police are hunting a thug who attacked a man in Tottenham, leaving him in hospital

Police were dispatched to a north London street after a man was attacked and left with head injuries.

The victim was found slumped on Tottenham High Road just after 6am on Sunday.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

His condition is described as non-life-threatening.

In the search for the attacker, detectives comb through the video surveillance around the crime scene. There were no arrests.

A Met statement said: “At 6.05am on Sunday, May 19, police were called to an injured man on Tottenham High Road at the junction with Whitehall Street, N17.

“Officers were on site together with colleagues from the emergency services and found a man with head injuries. He was taken to hospital. His condition was not considered life-threatening.

“Officers believe the man was attacked. No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.”
