1 dead in west Charlotte crash

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – One person was killed in a crash in west Charlotte Sunday evening.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department investigators found the crash along the 9500 block of Wilkinson Boulevard, near the Gaston County line, around 10:07 p.m.

At the scene, officers found a parked vehicle and a Chevrolet Impala.

The driver of the Impala, 37-year-old Reginald Singleton, died at the scene.

Investigators say speed and impairment may have contributed to the accident.
