Hampton man dead after shooting Sunday afternoon – The Virginian-Pilot

A Hampton man was pronounced dead Sunday afternoon after he was found with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 12:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Catalpa Avenue. When they arrived, officers found a 38-year-old man lying on the roadway, police said in a news release. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s identity is being kept secret until police can inform the family.
