Three were arrested after a high-speed chase in Hooksett

HOOKSETT – Three people were taken into custody after a high-speed chase that began in Hooksett and ended in a foot chase at an apartment complex in Manchester on May 18.

Hooksett police responded to a reported theft at the Kohl’s store around 7:30 p.m., where the suspects had fled the scene in a Kia Forte toward Home Depot.

Officer Foley spotted the vehicle exiting the Home Depot parking lot, driven by Lacey Paye, 32, of Groton.

Despite attempts to stop the vehicle on Route 3A, Paye led police on a chase into Manchester at speeds in excess of 70 miles per hour.

The pursuit was called off for safety reasons, but the vehicle was later found at the Regency Place Apartment Complex, where Paye and two men, Anthony Manning, 35, of Haverhill, NH, and Jacob James, 35, of Strafford, NH, were identified as fleeing on foot.

With assistance from the New Hampshire State Police and the Manchester Police Department, Paye and James were arrested at the scene.

Manning was discovered by local residents hiding in a garage and subsequently arrested by Manchester police.

Paye is charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, disobeying an officer, speeding and multiple counts of drug possession.

She was released on $500 bail with a scheduled court date of June 27 in Hooksett 6th District Court.

James was arrested on an unrelated probation warrant out of Rockingham County.

Manning was also charged with trespassing and resisting arrest by Manchester police, among other warrants.

The Kia Forte was impounded pending a search warrant.

Further investigation may lead to additional charges against all those involved.
