Fatal crash closes I-69 in Pendleton

PENDLETON, Ind. – Police are investigating after a fatal crash involving a semi-truck on Interstate 69 closed the highway in Pendleton early Sunday morning.

Around 5:30 a.m., police responded to the fatal crash near Exit 214 to Revers and Fortville. INDOT says at least one semi-truck was overturned in the crash. The Madison County Coroner’s Office confirmed that at least one person was killed in the crash.

According to INDOT, all southbound lanes of I-69 are closed and traffic is being diverted to State Road 38.
